Privacy policy

What we collect

When you fill out our contact form or subscribe: the name, email, phone number, and message you send us. That's it. We don't collect date of birth, medical history, government ID numbers, or payment information through this site.

When you browse: standard web analytics via Google Analytics 4 (Google's GA4 property G-KKGRRG3BJS). This includes anonymized IP, browser type, pages visited, and referral source. Google Analytics may set cookies to distinguish unique visitors. You can opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

What we do with it

Contact form submissions: we reply to you. If you've asked us to introduce you to a vetted clinic partner, we share only the information you provide to that specific clinic — not to anyone else. Colombian clinic partners are contractually bound to Colombia's Ley 1581 de 2012 (Habeas Data) provisions.

Analytics data: we use it to understand which articles are useful, which are broken, and where our traffic comes from. Aggregate only — we don't attempt to identify individual visitors from analytics data.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data. Not to marketers, not to data brokers, not to insurers.
• We don't retarget you with ads across other sites. No Facebook Pixel, no display-network pixels, no cross-site behavioral tracking beyond standard GA4.
• We don't share your medical questions with clinic partners unless you ask us to. The information you send us stays with us unless you explicitly authorize a referral introduction.

Cookies

This site uses cookies for two purposes: Google Analytics (to measure aggregate traffic) and — if you interact with our WhatsApp link — WhatsApp's own analytics on the destination side (which are governed by WhatsApp's privacy policy). No other tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete any information you've shared with us. Email andy@colombiamedical.co with the subject "Data deletion request" and we'll confirm removal within 30 days.

If you're an EU/UK resident, you have GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection). If you're a California resident, you have CCPA rights. Exercise them by emailing the address above.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained for 24 months to support ongoing correspondence, then archived offline. Analytics data follows Google's standard retention (up to 14 months in our configuration).

Security

We use HTTPS everywhere on this site. Form submissions are transmitted over TLS. Backend storage uses industry-standard access controls. We are not a HIPAA-covered entity and do not knowingly collect protected health information.

• Google Apps Script — receives and forwards form submissions
• WhatsApp — outbound link only; interactions there are governed by Meta's policies
